The Benefits of Matrix Repatterning™

Matrix Repatterning

Dr. Joseph Vistitsky has an extensive training in Matrix Repatterning™ treatment that uses very light, gentle pressure to locate and release old injuries and trauma which may be responsible for patient current symptoms  or complaint. Dr. Joseph Vistitsky studied this new revolutionary approach with Dr. George Roth in Toronto, Canada

George RothMatrix Repatterning™ was developed by George B. Roth, is currently in use around the world to treat a wide range of conditions that have not responded well to conventional methods, such as: back and neck pain, GERD, snoring, apnea, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, cardiac dysfunction, head injuries, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, sports injuries, motor vehicle collisions and industrial injury. It is also currently used with professional sports teams such as the Toronto Raptors, the Buffalo Bills, with Olympic and other world-class athletes. Matrix Repatterning is a gentle, effective and clinically-proven system, which is currently the subject of a series of studies with a researcher from Harvard University.

Matrix Repatterning is a new approach to the assessment and treatment of structural dysfunction. It is based on a revolutionary model of the underlying structure of organic tissue, the Tensegrity Matrix, which explains the complex interrelationship of all the structural components of the body. The tensegrity model, which was first described by Buckminster Fuller as an architectural principle, has now been verified as the basis of all organic life by several studies. It explains how forces are transmitted throughout the body and how injuries and other influences are actually stored within the molecular structure. It extends our understanding of structural dysfunction beyond the level of joint, muscle and ligament, to include all of the tissues of the body, as potential sources of dysfunction.

"The word 'tensegrity' is an invention: a contraction of 'tensional integrity.' Tensegrity describes a structural-relationship principle in which structural shape is guaranteed by the finitely closed, comprehensively continuous, tensional behaviors of the system and not by the discontinuous and exclusively local compression member behaviors. Tensegrity provides the ability to yield increasingly without ultimately breaking or coming asunder." - Buckminster Fuller

Symptoms, especially in chronic conditions, are often the result of abnormal strain within the body in response to a primary lesion. The primary source of the strain pattern is usually asymptomatic. This can be compared to a person wearing a cast on their ankle. They usually feel no pain in the immobilized joint but often experience pain and discomfort in the knee, hip, lower back or neck as these structures must alter their normal range-of-motion to compensate for the loss of mobility imposed by the cast. Diagnosis and treatment, based on the area of symptoms, is often frustrating and fruitless, since it acts only on the peripheral effects of the primary condition.

Matrix Repatterning is a manual approach, which addresses primary sources of tension in the connective tissue-fascial system in an efficient and effective manner. Treatment is gentle and painless, and can often result in global reorganization and postural stabilization, encouraging the body towards normal, pain-free function.
